[edit] Waco/Killeen-Temple/Bryan-College Station

Many stations in Bryan/College Station and Waco/Killeen-Temple are essentially clones, owned by the same corporations and broadcasting the same programming except for local news coverage (in some cases) and local commercials. This is done because B/CS is too far from Waco and Temple (and vice versa) to receive TV broadcasts except with high-gain directional antennas, so each set of cities has its own local transmitter. Examples are KBTX/KWTX (CBS), KMAY/KCEN (NBC), KYLE/KWKT (FOX), and KRHD/KXXV (ABC).
