Defining the Value I Bring to the Stage / Screen as an Actor

Most people are obsessed with the fear of not finding a part in a play instead of going out and creating one.

Focusing all my energy on my resume shifts the responsibility of defining who I am (and the problems I can solve) from me to the employer.

Employers / Human slave Buyers don't have the time for that. My screaming, "Help me figure myself out and fit somewhere" could be akin to a Miele Vacuum cleaner having delusions of being a John Deer Tractor.

So Instead I :

  1. Defined what I have to sell (I.e. my "PERSONAL VALUE PROPOSITION")

  2. Clearly and briefly defined the value I bring and what differentiates me from the "others".

  3. Clearly define the venues / audiences that require this value proposition.

If I do not know who I am, what I am, and what talents and skills I could bring to the table, no one is going to tell me or better yet, sit down and psycho-analyze me so as to offer me the best possible career choice. ON the contrary, I may find some people who, in order to satisfy their own inner DEMONS, may have me running in circles in search of the holy grail or testing to see if gravity has been switched off.
